ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Caroline Castrillon

Hi, I'm Caroline Castrillon.
I’m an entrepreneur, a career coach, a first-generation American, and a proud Latina–but most of all I’m here to help you find your power so you can achieve your career goals!
I’m a career coach dedicated to helping professional women navigate career change. Why? Because I was in your shoes and struggled for years, not knowing what to do or how to get there.
I started my company, Corporate Escape Artist, after a successful 25-year marketing career working for organizations like Sony, Dell, and AMD. So, I understand the challenges, pitfalls, and frustrations that women experience in corporate America. I’m also a first-generation American and proud Latina, so I’m passionate about supporting women of diverse backgrounds.
For decades, I struggled to “climb the corporate ladder” because that’s what I thought I was supposed to do. You see, in my family, you were expected to go to a good school, get a good job, work hard for someone else, save some money, and hopefully retire at some point so you could really start enjoying life.
But working in the corporate world wasn’t easy for someone like me who craves connection, freedom, creativity, flexibility, and fulfillment. I endured layoffs (many), toxic environments (even more), micromanagers (too many to count), tiny cubicles, and the list goes on.
After working for over 20 years, I finally accepted a VP of Marketing job, making more money than ever. I still remember how excited my friends and family were. But I was miserable. Every day, I had a terrible knot in my stomach. You might even know what I’m talking about.
I felt suffocated because I couldn’t be my authentic self. In fact, I felt like I had to be some other version of myself to be successful.
Eventually, it got to the point where I decided THERE MUST BE MORE. So, I hired my own career coach. That’s when everything changed. It felt like verbalizing all my hopes and dreams made the universe conspire to help me.
Not long after, my company was sold, and I was told my position was eliminated. The good news—I had already started down the path of becoming a certified career coach and launching my company.
That was the year I turned 46.
These are trying times—especially for women in the workforce.
My goal is to provide the inspiration and guidance women need to find their power so they can create a career that offers them the freedom, flexibility, and fulfillment they deserve.
Even though you might not feel it right now, I know that power is inside you. Once you can access it, you’ll get back in touch with your authentic self and have the strength to build a career that is uniquely YOU.
I’ll be honest; it’s not always easy.
But what I can guarantee you is that IT’S POSSIBLE!
